Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consists of the 4 NC APSE Board Officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Executive Committee has the following responsibilities:
- Serves as the management body for the NC APSE Board.
- Determines issues that should be brought before the full NC APSE Board, and develops the agenda for NC APSE Board meetings.
- Ensures compliance with all APSE and NC APSE bylaws, and policy and procedures.
- Provides operational and management responsibility and oversight to NC APSE and all of its business, marketing, communication and training activities. The Executive Committee is expected to generally prior to each NC APSE Board meeting to review and approve agenda items.
In addition to the Standing Board Committee, The NC APSE Board of Directors have appointed additional Board Committees, to support Board operations. These committees have specified purposes and responsibilities. The chair of non-standing board committees has been appointed by the Board President. Chair: Bridget Hassan.
Public Policy Committee
The Public Policy Committee is a standing committee that oversees the strategic public policy agenda to promote NC APSE’s mission and vision; Equal Employment for All through Advocacy, Education and Support. The Committee provides guidance on the implementation of the public policy agenda. Chair: Courtney Horton.
Professional Development
The Conference and Training Committee is a standing committee that oversees NC APSE’s two annual conferences and other training events to promote NC APSE’s mission and vision; Equal Employment for All through Advocacy, Education and Support. Chair: Cheri Howell.
Membership and Communication
The Membership and Communication Committee is a standing committee that oversees the strategic plan to develop and retain NC APSE members and to promote NC APSE’s mission and vision; Equal Employment for All through Advocacy, Education and Support. Chair: Rena Davenport Contact the Committee
